Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Conscia ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Conscia is a personal finance tracking application with AI-powered spending advice. The App provides:

• Manual transaction and budget tracking
• AI pre-purchase advice to help you pause and decide with more clarity
• Purchase reflection prompts
• Receipt scanning with AI extraction (Premium)
• Multi-currency support (Premium)

Conscia is not a financial advisor. The AI-generated advice is for informational and entertainment purposes only. You should not rely on it as professional financial, investment, or legal guidance.

3. Accounts & Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You may register using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

Conscia offers two tiers:

5. Subscriptions & Billing

• Premium is available as a one-time Lifetime Access purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Lifetime Access is non-recurring — there are no ongoing subscription charges.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.
• We reserve the right to change pricing for new purchases with at least 30 days' notice. Existing Lifetime Access holders are not affected by price changes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass freemium limits through API manipulation, account creation, or any other means.
• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its APIs.
• Submit malicious content, including prompt injection attempts against the AI system.
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.

7. Your Data & Content

• You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into Conscia.
• You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.
• You can export or delete your data at any time from the Settings screen.
• Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed immediately. See our Account Deletion page for full details.

8. AI-Generated Content

• AI responses are generated by machine learning models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.
• AI advice does not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any AI-generated content.
• You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Conscia is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
• We are not liable for any financial losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated advice.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Service Availability

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability, with notice when possible.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

11. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
• Sections 7–9 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
